Dhruv RAINA is Associate Professor at Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Dehli. His areas of research are : The politics of scientific knowledge in colonial India, Social theory of science and technology : particular reference to theories of the scientific revolution, theories of modernisation and development, Science, social movements and popular culture, The contemporary history of science and technology, The historiography of the sciences of India, Scientometric studies on the institutionalisation of physics research in India, Preparation of archives and databases for the history of sciences and technology in India. |
